Job description
- Development and implementation of project-specific procurement strategies as well as early involvement in the quotation and calculation phase
- Independently managing the procurement of project-specific special and drawing-based parts – from supplier selection and inquiries through to order placement and delivery monitoring
- Close cooperation with engineering, project management, and sales departments, actively contributing procurement expertise to interdisciplinary project teams
- Conducting price, contract, and terms & conditions negotiations with national and international suppliers
- Managing and continuously developing project-related supplier management, including the coordination of complaints and escalations
- Ensuring cost-effective, quality-oriented, and on-time procurement processes
- Planning, coordinating, and tracking all procurement-related activities throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Identifying and realizing cost optimization and savings potentials within projects
Requirements
- Completed technical or commercial degree, for example in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in technical or project-based purchasing, ideally within mechanical or plant engineering
- Strong technical understanding and experience in procuring complex, customer-specific components
- Confident appearance, strong negotiation skills, and excellent communication abilities
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working with a high degree of initiative and sense of responsibility
- Ability to work in a team and enjoy collaborating in interdisciplinary and international project teams
